[WoW #8] Queen of Shadows - Sarah J. Maas

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

After the cover was revealed it was clear that Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas will be my next Waiting on Wednesday. So, after a little break, here it is:

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she's at last returned to the empire-for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past...

She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return.

Celaena's epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena's story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world. [Bloomsbury]

I think it's clear why I'm anticipating this book so, so much. I LOVE Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire. I've been waiting for this book since I've finished Heir of Fire. And the publication day is still so far away: September 1th - published by Bloomsbury. But I've already pre-odored it and I really hope it comes at the publication day - and not weeks after that as it happens so often...

What is your WoW this week? Are you also waiting for Queen of Shadows?

  1. Not too long ago, I read the first page of "Hire of Fire" on my ereader. But I decided to wait, until the release of "Queen of Shadows". Maybe a few weeks before. It's just nice to read a book and to have the possibility to read the next one right away.

    Greetings,
    Tina

    1. That's true and definitely a good idea! It's really annoying that I have to wait so long for the sequel, but I can never resist to read highly anticipated sequels immediately even though I know that I have to wait for such a long time...
